Waterview Skatepark

22 May 2019 / Case Studies

As part of the Waterview Connection project, a number of community projects were agreed which have added much loved new facilities to the local communities.

The design of the park is based around a figure of eight patterns which allows skaters to use areas both individually or as a continuous loop of skating. The design brief included a requirement for artistic elements to break up the mass of grey concrete, hence the coloured concrete choices.

The new Waterview Skatepark has been especially well received due to its large size, wondrous features and great variety – “Sick” as the skaters
